Dr. Anavian has been in practice in Torrance California since 1990. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Queens College of the City University of New York. He attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Anavian graduated from TUSPM with the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1988.
Dr. Anavian did his surgical residency training at the Hawthorne Hospital/Baja Project residency. During his senior year of residency he was the Chief Resident for the Baja Project for Crippled Children and was responsible for running the Baja Projects clinics in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico. He received extensive training in pediatric surgery of the foot and ankle as well as more conservative care of pediatric neuromuscular deformities. Since his residency he has become one of the Co-directors of the Baja Project for Crippled Children.
Dr. Anavian has been Residency Director of the Community Hospital of Garden residency program from.1997 to 2005. He also served as Chief of the Podiatry department of CHG from 2000 to 2006.
Dr. Anavian is currently on staff at both Little Company of Mary Hospital and Torrance Memorial Medical Center. His practice is located in the Skypark complex in Torrance California. Dr. Anavian is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.
